The donation of some nine hundred works from the Lloyd Cotsen Japanese Bamboo Basket Collection to the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco has created the largest public grouping of Japanese bamboo art objects in the world; the collection is as remarkable for the quality of its work as for its range.
